Druță Gorge

Description

A walk on the bottom of the Sarmatian sea. The village is located on the left side of the gorge, intersected by the Ciuhur river, which hides in a long and very winding gorge, which over the course of more than 7 million years, managed to dig a vast valley and quite deep. Here the river bed is littered with large boulders, rolled from the slopes of the gorge. The width of the river in the gorge is about 5-6 meters, but during floods it can become much wider. The Ciuhur River has a very winding and capricious course, changing its direction in the most unpredictable way. This is related both to the small differences in height and to the multitude of obstacles, in the form of petrified coral reefs, that the stream encounters on its way.
